A Rockmart man died early Tuesday morning after being struck by a motor home on Interstate 75 in Bartow County.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, 42-year-old Bobby S. Morris of Rockmart was walking along the interstate at around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday when he was struck by the motor home near mile marker 298.
The driver, David Slitti from Carleton, Michigan was traveling northbound on I-75 and struck Morris while merging from the center lane to the right lane. The driver said he never saw the pedestrian until it was too late.
At this time, no charges are pending against the driver of the vehicle.
