A Cedartown woman who was struck by a car was transported to a Rome hospital for treatment of her injuries. Cedartown Police reports show that the incident happened Sunday night at around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Canal Street. Police say that 58 year old Darlene Jackson of Cedartown was taken to Floyd Medical Center by Redmond EMS. Her condition is not known at this time. Police also say that witnesses of the wreck said that the accident was unavoidable. The accident report said the driver was going on south Main Street and was in a turn lane to make a turn onto Canal Street.
