Gas prices have soared above last year’s level by 22 cents, according to figures released this with by Triple A South.
Despite the bad news, it is still cheaper to fill up in Cedartown than in many surrounding communities.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Georgia is $3.59 a gallon, which is virtually unchanged over last week.
In Cedartown, motorists can expect to pay as low as $3.44 a gallon.
The cheapest gas in the state? Well you have to drive all the way up to the Ringgold area, where a station is selling regular unleaded for $3.23 a gallon.
