Cedartown Police arrested two individuals Wednesday on drugs and weapons charges.
According to an incident report, police were dispatched to a College Dr. apartment Wednesday in reference to possible drug activity.
On the scene, police located two individuals sitting in a white car in the parking lot of the apartment.
One of the suspects ran when officers approached and was shortly apprehended.
Officers found a small baggie with a white crystal rock substance in the front seat of a vehicle and two guns in the trunk of the car.
Police arrested 31-year-old Joshua Lee Barnes of a Cave Spring Road residence on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, possession of firearms during the commission of a crime, possession of tools for commission of a crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and obstruction.
The other occupant of the vehicle, 29-year-old Letha Jackson McBurnett of Cave Spring Road was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug related objects, and possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
