Three suspects in an armed robbery of a Rockmart apartment last weekend were arrested on Monday.
According to Detective David Gowens of the Rockmart Police Department, three individuals entered an apartment on Jackson Lane on Thursday afternoon around 3 p.m. and took several items from the victim there, including his wallet and cell phone.
Rockmart Police responded and all three suspects had fled the scene by the time officers arrived.
Warrants were taken out on Shannon Derell Thompson of Aragon and LaDarion Deontae Morris and Dequaylon Montre Finley, both of Rockmart.
All three were arrested on Monday by a joint effort of the Rockmart Police Department, Polk County Police, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Marshal Fugitive Task Force.
They all three face felony charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and possession of firearms while trying to commit crimes.
Detective Gowens says that a gun was involved in the assault but the victim was not shot.
All three suspects remain in the Polk County Jail without bond.
