A missing elderly couple from Louisiana that prompted a Mattie’s Call to be issued late Sunday has been found and is safe.
According to a press release from the Floyd County Police Department, Pierre Demetrius Billiot and his wife Willie Pearl Billiot were found alive and well in Marietta at approximately 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Someone reported seeing a vehicle matching the description given in the Mattie’s Call on North Marirtta Parkway and then called 911.
Marietta Police and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and found both husband and wife in good condition. Both were taken to Kennestone Hospital for evaluation.
Police say the couple were extremely confused and did not know where they were or where they came from.
The couple of Port Sulfur, Louisiana had last been seen in northeast Floyd County and had apparently left for Ellijay.
The couple was known to frequent the Cedartown area, according to police.
