Cedartown Police have arrested a man who had a warrant out for his arrest following a brief foot chase.
According to Cedartown Police reports, officers patrolling in the area of Seventh Street when they spotted a subject standing in the yard of a residence who police identified as Adrian Rangel.
When officers exited the patrol vehicle, Rangel took off on foot and jumped over a wooden fence, running along a back alley between Seventh and Sixth Streets.
Rangel reportedly ignored several demands to stop running and surrender for arrest but he continued on foot, crossing Fourth Street and got away after climbing over a chain link fence.
Rangel was later located after Cedartown Police brought out their K-9 unit to track down the suspect.
Rangel was arrested on a charge of obstruction of law enforcement officers.
According to Polk County Jail records, Rangel is also charged with terroristic threats, trespass, and contempt of child support.
He remains in the Polk County Jail at this time.
