Some of the coldest temperatures of the season are slated to move into the area starting Thursday afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will cross the region Thursday with temperatures quickly falling below normal Thursday night through Sunday.
The coldest air will settle into the region Thursday night through Saturday as cool High pressure moves into the Tennessee River Valley.
The forecast for Cedartown calls for highs in the upper 30’s to near 40 on Friday and lows as cold as the upper teens in some places on Saturday morning.
Temperatures begin to rebound closer to normal by Sunday afternoon.
