An Esom Hill man has received his sentence for his involvement in a far reaching drug ring in Northwest Georgia and Northeast Alabama. According to reports, 37 year old Butch Chad Patterson of Esom Hill was sentenced to nine years in federal prison as part of a meth ring that went from Centre, Ala to Esom Hill. Patterson pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Rome to the possession and sale of at least 50 grams of methamphetamines in March. Patterson was arrested following a two-month investigation.
