Multiple units of the Polk County Fire Department were called out Wednesday morning to battle a fire that destroyed an unoccupied trailer at a location on Berry Road near Corn Road, just west of Cedartown.
According to Polk County Public Safety Director Randy Lacey, the fire appeared to originate on the left side of the single-wide trailer and spread into the roof and walls.
Lacey confirmed that no one was inside the structure when they arrived just after 11 a.m. to find flames shooting out of windows on the left side of the mobile home. Lacey added that the utilities had been shut off for some time.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Polk County Police Department.
