Cedartown Police were tipped on possible drug activity at a residence in the Cedartown Housing Authority. Assistant Chief Jamie Newsome said police knocked on the door of the house Thursday to ask questions and observed a male running out of the bad of the house. A female who answered the door gave consent for police to search the primacies. Upon investigation, police immediately discovered a working methamphetamine lab inside the house. Authorities arrested the male, whose name has not yet been made available and the female. Police reportedly charged them with manufacturing meth and doing so within 1000 feet of public housing.
