Here in Polk County, there are several contested races on the ballot for voters to decide:
State Senate, District 31

Polk County BOE, District 4

Voters in unincorporated Polk County will also be voting YES or NO on whether to authorize the county commission to form a paid/volunteer fire department, and implement a 10 year plan that would involve reducing the fire districts in the county from nine to seven, and relocating the fire stations to more centralized locations for better coverage.
Statewide elections include races for U.S. Senate, Governor, Lt. Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, State Schools Superintendent, and others.
