Cedartown Police, Fire, and Redmond EMS responded to a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon where a Chevy HHR had lost control on College Drive and slammed into numerous mailboxes.
According to reports, the driver told police that she heard a loud pop as if a tire had busted. She then began swerving out of control, hitting half a dozen mailboxes and ended up in a ditch in front of Worldview Baptist Church.
One person was partially ejected from the vehicle, according to the report.
Two occupants had to be transported for treatment of what appeared to be nonlife-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as Lacretia Dyoka Boozer of Evergreen Lane was taken for treatment.
Police have cited her for failure to maintain lane and driving on a suspended or revoked license.
No one else was hurt during the accident.
